When is Trash Day?

Privacy Policy

Last updated: March 8, 2026

Your privacy is important to us. When is Trash Day? is designed to keep your data on your device — we don’t collect, store, or transmit personal information to external servers.

This policy explains what information the App handles, how it stays on your device, and your rights regarding that data.

1. Information We Collect

When is Trash Day? collects only the information necessary to provide its core functionality. All of this data is stored locally on your device and is never sent to us or any third party:

  • Schedule preferences — the trash, recycling, and other collection days you configure.
  • Notification settings — your chosen reminder times and frequency.
  • App preferences — display settings and any customizations you make within the App.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

We want to be clear about what we do not collect:

  • No names, email addresses, or account credentials.
  • No location or address data.
  • No contacts, photos, or files from your device.
  • No advertising identifiers or cross-app tracking data.
  • No personally identifiable information of any kind.

3. How We Use Your Information

The data stored on your device is used solely to power the App’s features — displaying your collection schedule and delivering local notifications at the times you choose. We do not access, read, or process this data in any way.

4. Local Notifications

When is Trash Day? uses local (on-device) notifications to remind you about upcoming collection days. These notifications are scheduled and delivered entirely by your device’s operating system. No notification data is sent to our servers or any third-party service.

5. Analytics

We do not use any third-party analytics or tracking SDKs. The only analytics we may receive are aggregate, anonymized metrics provided by Apple through App Store Connect (such as download counts and crash reports). These are collected by Apple under Apple’s own privacy policy, and we have no way to identify individual users from this data.

6. Data Storage & Retention

All App data is stored locally on your iOS device. We do not operate servers that store user data. If you delete the App, all associated data is removed from your device. You can also reset your data at any time through the App’s settings.

7. Third-Party Services

The App is distributed through the Apple App Store. Apple may collect information about your device and usage in accordance with its own privacy policy. We do not integrate any other third-party services, SDKs, or advertising networks into the App.

8. Children’s Privacy

When is Trash Day? may be used by people of all ages, including children under 13. Because the App does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information, it complies with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children or any other users. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us so we can address it immediately.

9. Data Security

Because your data never leaves your device, it is protected by the security measures built into iOS, including device encryption and your passcode or biometric lock. We recommend keeping your device software up to date to benefit from the latest security patches.

10. Your Rights

Since all data is stored locally and we have no access to it, you have full control at all times. You can view, modify, or delete your data directly within the App or by uninstalling it from your device.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy. We encourage you to review this page periodically.

12. Contact

If you have any questions or concerns about this Privacy Policy or your data, please contact us through the When is Trash Day? application. Also see our Terms of Use.
